Victoria International Buskers Festival

Don't know what a busker is? They are professional public entertainers ranging from gymnasts, magicians, acrobats, flame throwers, musicians, balloonists and much more. Kelly and I visited the Buskers festival in 2014 and we enjoyed it so much we want to share it with you! Go to for more information on this amazing event.

In addition we will be going to the Maritime Museum of BC at their new location at 634 Humboldt St.

We will be mooring at the Causeway Floats in front of the Empress Hotel and BC Parliament building. Reservations can be made at www.gvha/node/443 or call 250-383-8326 ext. 265. Let them know you are with FBYC so they put us together. Availability currently looks good, but early reservations are still a good idea.

Kelly and I have made the trip to Victoria numerous times and will be available to help any first timers. On Sunday night (July 24th) all of the buskers get together to do one big final show on the Empress Lawn, so plan on staying in Victoria until Monday morning. We will depart at about 11AM (flood starts at noon) bound for Roche Harbor to clear customs. There will be an optional overnight raft-up (weather dependent) in Garrison Bay on Monday night.

This cruise is intended to merge seamlessly with the Circle Whidbey Cruise. We already have a couple of people who will be going directly from Anacortes to Victoria. Both fleets will rendezvous at the Causeway floats either on the 20th or 21st depending on weather in the straight.
